The All Progressives Congress, APC, has constituted a National Campaign Council for the August 15 Osun State governorship election.
In a statement by National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, on Sunday, the party named Imo State Governor and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Senator Hope Uzodimma, as Chairman of the Council.
Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni; President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio; and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, will serve as Co-Chairmen.
Hon. Ibrahim Kabir Masari, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political and Other Matters, was named Deputy Chairman, while Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, will serve as Secretary.
The party said the Council is made up of prominent APC leaders, governors, NWC members, principal officers of the National Assembly, ministers, federal and state lawmakers, and other stakeholders.
To drive the campaign, the APC also constituted sub-committees on Election Planning, Finance, Grassroots Mobilisation, Logistics, Security, Media, Youth, Women, Persons with Disabilities, and other areas.
According to a notice by National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, the inauguration will hold on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at the Transcorp Hilton Event Centre, Abuja, by 12:00 Noon.
