Governor Ademola Adeleke has congratulated the Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, on his 59th birthday, describing him as a monarch committed to the progress of his people.
Adeleke, in a statement by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, praised Oba Akanbi for promoting Yoruba identity and attracting development to Iwoland.
He noted that Oluwo’s reign has brought Iwoland its first federal institution and first dual carriageway, adding that the monarch’s leadership has fostered peace and attracted opportunities to the ancient town.
“I heartily felicitate with the Oluwo of Iwoland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu I, on the auspicious occasion of his 59th birthday. Kabiyesi is a reminder of what is possible when a leader is unpretentious about the progress of his domain and his people,” Adeleke said.
The governor prayed for the monarch’s continued good health and long reign.
Similarly, the All Progressives Congress House of Representatives Candidate for Ayedire/Iwo/Ola Oluwa Federal Constituency, Engr. Ademola Adedapo, in a congratulatory message, described Oba Akanbi as a transformational traditional ruler whose bold vision has repositioned Iwoland on the national map.
Adedapo said the monarch’s fearless advocacy for Yoruba culture and development has inspired a new generation of leaders and indigenes to take pride in their heritage while pursuing progress.
He noted that Oluwo’s reign represents the power of purposeful traditional leadership in modern governance.
The APC candidate prayed to God to grant Oba Akanbi many more years of sound health and wisdom to continue his impactful reign.
