Osun governor’s aide condemns attack on brother’s office, denies involvement

The Special Adviser to Osun State Governor on Innovation, Science, Technology and Digital Economy, Mr Azeez Badmus, has condemned the attack on the office of his elder brother and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Engr. Lekan Badmus, at Isale-Osun, Osogbo.

In an official release signed by his media office, Badmus said violence and destruction of property should be condemned by all well-meaning citizens, regardless of political affiliation.

The statement noted that Badmus’ own office at the same location was attacked and vandalised a few months ago by unknown persons.

“Despite the pain and losses suffered, we chose the path of peace and never resorted to baseless accusations or retaliation,” it read.

Badmus said the report trying to blame members of the Accord party for the latest incident was false.

The office rejected the allegations and urged security agencies to conduct a thorough, professional, and unbiased investigation to identify those responsible.

It also cautioned political actors against exploiting this unfortunate incident for political gain or using it to tarnish the image of innocent individuals and members of our great party.

Badmus reaffirmed commitment to peace and lawful political engagement under Governor Ademola Adeleke, and called on supporters across party lines to remain calm and allow security agencies to do their work.
