The Campaign Council of the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, has cautioned the lawmaker representing Ede-North, Ede-South, Egbedore and Ejigbo Federal Constituency, Hon. Bamidele Salam, to stop playing politics of incitement ahead of the gubernatorial election in the state.
The AMBO campaign council, in a statement on Sunday, warned Salam against threatening the peace of the state over the political ambition of the sitting governor.
“We have watched with a very great disappointment how Salam, a lawmaker under the wounded and fragile thumb of the infamous, relatively unknown and unpopular Accord Party in Osun State, has been going about threatening fire and brimstone if the favoured governorship candidate of his party, the outgoing Governor Ademola Adeleke, does not make his re-election bid,” the statement noted.
The statement noted that Governor Adeleke’s administration has been disappointing.
“We are submitting that the position of the lawmaker in defending the perpetuity of the foisting of a weakling and ineffective governor on the State of the Virtuous for what could only be self-serving calls to question his needed attribute of an act of genuine patriotism.
“The visible act of the needless throwing of political brickbats and tantrums against the most formidable and unshakeable progressive opposition APC political party in Osun State to impress the Ede country home of his continuous loyalty to the Adeleke political dynasty, is incapable of scoring for the dazed federal lawmaker, any added political advantage,” the statement noted.
