The Senator representing Osun Central, Olubiyi Fadeyi, has donated ₦20 million to victims of the recent rainstorm in Osogbo.
The lawmaker presented the cheque at the palace of the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji, through his campaign Director General, Hon Akin Titiloye.
A statement by the lawmaker’s Special Adviser on Digital Media and Publicity, Desmond Adekanola, noted that Titiloye while conveying the Senator’s message, said, “We are here to present a cheque of twenty million naira to the palace. This signifies that the funds are ready and will be disbursed to affected victims as soon as the Senator returns, latest by next Tuesday.”
Senator Fadeyi described the rainstorm as a deeply unfortunate incident and reiterated his commitment to continually support communities facing hardship across Osun Central.
