Residents of Egbedi town in Egbedore Local Government Area of Osun State, on Monday, alleged that some police operatives shot two people in the town.
The residents in a video obtained by osun.life claimed that police stormed the town in the company of some hoodlums who unleashed mayhem on them.
They added that the police also made some arrests, calling on the Inspector General of Police to come to their rescue.
A resident of the community who spoke in the video said: “The police operatives invaded our town in the company of thugs who were armed. They visited the palace and other places to arrest leaders. During the process, they shot two people, whose conditions we do not know right now.”
Efforts to obtain the police’s reaction proved abortive at the time of filing this report.
