The lawmaker representing Ife Federal Constituency, Hon. Taofeek Ajilesoro and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in the federal constituency, have donated ₦70m towards the gubernatorial campaign of the party.
The funds was raised after Ajilesoro’s inugauration as the the chairman of the finance committee for the APC governorship campaign council in Ife Federal Constituency.
The federal lawmaker donated the donated ₦31.7 million while a House of Representatives aspirant, Engr Marcus Adedini donated ₦21m.
Also, another House of Representatives aspirant, Kunle Ayoola, donated ₦5m while the Director of City Boy Movement in Osun State, Engr Kayode Sowade and Mr Victor Badejo donated ₦2m each.
The chairman of the APC in Osun, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal pledged the sum of ₦1.5 to the course while the campaign Director General for the federal constituency, Barr. Wale Ojo donated ₦500,000.
Others who donated to the cause include, Mr Adegoke Adeboye, Prof Taiwo Olaiya, Mr Ojuade Bukola, Mr Ajiboye Segun and Orogade Abiola who donated ₦1m each.
In his address, the Ife federal constituency campaign Director General, Hon. Wale Ojo, noted that the party must remain “highly formidable” to secure victory in the upcoming election.
The state APC chairman, stressed that Ifeland remains the strategic heartbeat of electoral success in Osun State.
In his remarks, Hon Ajilesoro, expressed full confidence in the leadership of the state chairman and the DG.
He stated that his committee is ready to work hand-in-hand with the campaign’s top brass to ensure that every resource is deployed judiciously to return the APC to the government house.
“Under the guidance of our State Chairman and the DG, we have assembled a team of integrity,” Ajilesoro noted.
“This initial #70 Million is a testament to our collective resolve. We are resourcing a movement that is not only formidable but unstoppable,” he added.
