The Director General, Osun All Progressives Congress Governorship Campaign Committee, Hon. Wole Oke, has said workers who were sacked by Governor Ademola Adeleke will respond with their votes on August 15.
The lawmaker who is representing Obokun-Oriade Federal Constituency, stated this on Friday while appearing on a private radio station programme in Osogbo.
The APC campaign DG stated that the ‘unjust’ dismissal of teachers and health workers engaged by his predecessor will haunt Governor Adeleke’s re-election bid.
“Osun workers unjustly and unfairly sacked by the current administration will express their discontent at the polls. The governor cannot expect backing from citizens he’s victimised on the altar of petty, vindictive politics,” he posited.
Oke criticised Adeleke’s administration for lacking the capacity to drive development, citing failures in healthcare, agriculture, and pension payments.
“The governor’s meddling in obaship affairs has destabilised communities and towns across Osun. This unwarranted interference and disrespect for traditional institutions have thrown the system into chaos,” he said.
He also highlighted the mismanagement of over N15 billion monthly federal allocations and discontinuation of the O-Yes Scheme, which empowered thousands of youths.
