Osogbo 33KVA feeder faulty after heavy downpour – IBEDC

The management of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company, Osun region, has confirmed that last Saturday’s heavy downpour caused a technical fault
on the Osogbo township 33kV feeder.

IBEDC said the situation has resulted in a power outage in some communities in Osogbo.

The electricity company listed the affected communities to include: Ogooluwa, Dada
Estate, Akeju, GRA, Okefia, Odiolowo, Ataoja Estate, Abere, Capital, Igbona,
Ayetoro, Oke Onitea, Biket, Iyana Camp, Powerline and environs.

It however, said its technical team is working to ensure power supply is restored to the areas.

“Dear esteemed customer,
Kindly be informed that a heavy rainstorm has caused a technical fault
on the Osogbo Township 33kV feeder, resulting in a power outage affecting the
following communities: Ogooluwa, Dada
Estate, Akeju, GRA, Okefia, Odiolowo Ataoja Estate Abere, Capital, Igbona,
Ayetoro, Oke Onitea area, Biket Area, Iyana camp, Powerline in Osogbo Township and environs.

“Our technical team is working to ensure power supply is restored. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience,” the statement read.
