Seized Allocations: Adeleke denying himself statutory benefits to deliver good governance, deserves re-election – Salam

The lawmaker representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo Federal Constituency, Hon Bamidele Salam, has lauded Governor Ademola Adeleke, for sustaining the payment of salaries of Local Government staff and Primary School teachers despite the non-release of the allocations meant for local governments in Osun State.

Salam in a Facebook post on Wednesday, said apart from payment of salaries, Governor Adeleke has also ensured the maintenance of Primary Health Care Centres and undertook many other statutory responsibilities of Local Governments.

He noted that Adeleke has denied himself and other state officials of many statutory benefits in order to deliver on projects and programmes that promote the people’s well-being, urging Osun electorates to re-elect him on the 15th of August.

“For one year, funds meant for Local Governments in Osun have been seized. Legitimately elected local government Chairmen and councillors have been shut out of secretariats. Illegitimate occupiers, aided by the Police continue to lay siege on Local Government secretariats in defiance of court judgements.

“Yet, Governor Ademola Adeleke continues to pay Local Government staff salaries, maintains Primary Health Care Centres, pays Primary School teachers and undertakes many other statutory responsibilities of Local Governments.

“He denies himself and other state officials of many statutory benefits in order to deliver on projects and programmes that promote the peoples well being. Let’s vote for him again on the 15th of August so that this great work can continue,” the lawmaker wrote.
