An Abuja-based lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi, has announced plans to contest the House of Representatives seat for Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency under the Accord Party.
Olajengbesi in a statement on his Facebook page, said it is time to challenge the status quo, adding that no individual is more important than the collective will of the people.
He said his decision was not driven by emotion, but by responsibility, noting that people of the constituency deserved representation that is present, accountable, and committed to measurable progress.
He wrote, “In life, we must be bold and courageous enough to challenge the status quo. No individual is more important than the collective will of the people.
“After thorough prayer and deep reflection, I have made up my mind to present myself as a credible alternative for the House of Representatives, Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency.
“This decision is not driven by emotion, but by responsibility. Our people deserve representation that is present, accountable, and committed to measurable progress.
“We are a generation determined to make a difference. We believe leadership must reflect the aspirations of the people and open doors of opportunity for our younger brothers and sisters.
“I therefore humbly call on all patriots in Ijesa North to join me in this journey. Let us work together to build a greater tomorrow for our Federal Constituency.
“I will be offering myself through our great party, THE ACCORD, with the help of God and humanity, it is possible.”
