The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has inaugurated the campaign committee for the Osun State governorship election coming up on August 08.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony held at Osun ADC secretariat, Osogbo, on Monday, the chairman of the party in the state, Dr Charles Omidiji, said the event was a critical step in ADC’s collective resolve to
present a credible, people-oriented alternative to the good people of Osun State.
Omidiji urged the committee members to demonstrate dedication, transparency and strategic
thinking, adding that the campaign must be grassroots-driven, issue-based and people-centred.
He said, “This event comes on the heels of the approval of our party’s gubernatorial candidate, Rt. Hon. Dr Najeem Folasayo Salaam, a man of proven integrity, experience and capacity to lead Osun State towards purposeful governance.
“Today’s inauguration marks a critical step in our collective resolve to present a credible, people-oriented alternative to the good people of Osun State.
“The committees being inaugurated today have been carefully constituted to handle key aspects of the governorship campaign.
“Your selection is a testament to the confidence the party reposes in your competence, loyalty and commitment to the ideals of the ADC. The task before us is enormous, but it is achievable if we work with unity, discipline and a shared vision. As committee members, you are expected to demonstrate dedication, transparency and strategic thinking. This campaign must be grassroots-driven, issue-based and people-centred. We must engage the electorate with humility, clarity of purpose and unwavering belief in our candidate and party manifesto.
“On behalf of the State Executive Committee of the ADC in Osun State, I hereby charge all inaugurated committees to discharge their responsibilities diligently and in the overall interest of our great party.
Together, let us move forward with courage and conviction to secure victory for the ADC and deliver good governance to the people of Osun State.”
