The lawmaker representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency, Hon. Oluwole Oke, has issued a seven-day ultimatum to the Osun State government over the yet-to-be-concluded teachers recruitment exercise.
Oke in a statement by his media and communication unit, asked the state government to finalise the recruitment of teachers or refund the fees paid by applicants.
The statement said many of the applicants have been subjected to prolonged uncertainty and economic hardship due to the situation.
The lawmaker demanded that the Osun State Government, under the leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke, take decisive action within seven (7) days.
“The government must immediately commence and conclude the recruitment of qualified teachers for public secondary schools or refund in full all application fees collected from the affected applicants.”
He warned that failure to comply within the stipulated timeframe would compel affected applicants and stakeholders to pursue all lawful means of redress available to them.
