African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate for the 2026 Osun State election, Dr Najeem Salaam, has felicitated with the people of Osun State on the occasion of the New Year 2026, describing it as a season of renewed hope, unity, and collective resolve for a better future.
In his New Year message, made available to newsmen in Osogbo on Wednesday, Salaam thanked the people of the state for their resilience and faith in the face of prevailing socio-economic challenges, urging them to remain steadfast and optimistic.
“The New Year 2026 presents us with a fresh opportunity to reflect, renew our commitments, and work together for the Osun of our dreams, an Osun that is prosperous, inclusive, and just for all,” he said.
The ADC flag bearer emphasised the need for purposeful leadership anchored on transparency, people-oriented policies, and sustainable development, noting that Osun State is endowed with the human and natural resources required to thrive if properly harnessed.
Dr Salaam further called on youths, women, professionals, artisans, and traditional institutions to actively participate in shaping the future of the state, stressing that governance should be a collective responsibility.
“As we approach the 2026 governorship election, I remain committed to offering visionary and compassionate leadership that prioritises education, healthcare, job creation, security, and economic empowerment,” he added.
He concluded by wishing the people of Osun State a peaceful and prosperous New Year, praying that 2026 will usher in progress, stability, and renewed confidence in democratic governance.
