The AMBO Media Fronts has debunked allegations that three people were feared dead in Ikire, Irewole Local Government Area of Osun State, during an end-of-year prayer session sponsored by the Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2026 gubernatorial election, Mr Bola Oyebamiji.
The group noted that no fatality was recorded, either at Oyebamiji’s residence or at the venue of the prayer session.
The group said a statement credited to one of the Senior Special Assistants to Governor Ademola Adeleke, whose name was not mentioned, was malicious and untrue.
“It is saddening that officials of the Osun State Government, pained by the massive turnout of citizens and the overwhelming success of the event, are now casting aspersions on the credibility of a simple and innocuous spiritual activity and colouring it with insane politics.
“No Propaganda can destroy the good image of AMBO as the name is now engraved in the mind and consciousness of Osun people,” the group stated.
AMBO Media Fronts urged members of the public to disregard the claim, adding that “legal measures are now underway to clear his name and expose the fakery designed to tarnish his reputation and mislead the public.
