A gubernatorial aspirant under the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji,popularly called ‘AMBO’, on Monday, visited Akinlalu community to condole with the families of the victims of September 30 incident in the town.
osun.life reports that some personnel of Osun Amotekun stormed the community in Ife-North Local Government Area and shot four people dead, with at least 10 others injured.
Oyebamiji who visited the community with his campaign while speaking at the palace of Alakinlalu of Akinlalu, Oba Israel Oyewale Aborisade promised to support the families of the victims who lost their lives to the incident.
The gubernatorial hopeful also declared scholarships to the highest academic level for the children of the victims of the incident.
He said, “It is painful that the lives of some of the promising indigenes who are the future of this town were cut short by gruesome killings. But I can assure you that the perpetrators will not go scot-free. They will face the full wrath of the law.
“We will continue to support your town to restore peace. We pray that God continue to shower His mercy on the parents and families of the victims.
“We want to assure you that all the children of the victims are given scholarships from primary to tertiary institutions by the AMBO Movement.
“We have set up a committee to ensure this. Any one of the children who wants to learn any vocation will be equally supported to graduation level, and will be equipped with the necessary facilities and equipment.”
