There was palpable tension at the All Progressives Congress secretariat in Ilesa West Local Government Area of Osun State following allegations by some members that their names were removed from the list of people to be appointed at the local government.
osun.life reliably gathered that the issue has to do with appointments of executives at the Local Government.
According to sources, the APC members were aggrieved that their names were removed from those to be appointed to the executive positions of the local government.
In a video circulating online, the APC members alleged that a former Commissioner for Works in the state, Remi Omowaye, masterminded the removal of their names from the list.
According to the aggrieved party members led by a former House of Assembly member, Adewale Adedoyin, and a chieftain of the party in Ilesa West, Tobi Famurewa, Omowaiye allegedly ordered the removal of the names of their loyalists for not supporting one of the APC gubernatorial aspirants, Bola Oyebamiji.
The aggrieved party members who were supporters of a former National Secretary of the APC, Senator Iyiola Omisore were heard calling for their names to be returned to the list.
In the video, an APC member who put on a cap with ‘AMBO’, the political insignia of Bola Oyebamiji was seen confronting Adedoyin, accusing the former Commissioner for Agriculture of also ordering the removal of his own name from the list.
