Residents urge Adeleke to fix Iwo-Ibadan road

By Tunde Olamilekan

Residents of Iwo, Osun State, have called on the state governor, Ademola Adeleke, to assist in fixing the bad portion of the Iwo-Ibadan Road.

The residents lamented that the poor state of the road was causing hardship for motorists.

According to them, the potholes on the road have metamorphosed into a gully.

A resident of Olajide Ibrahim, appealed to Governor Ademola Adeleke to urgently address the situation, adding that commuting on the road has become a nightmare.

According to him, “The road has become worse and needs urgent government attention. Gullies has now taken over the road, and I want to appeal to Governor Adeleke to help us fix the road.”

Recall that Governor Adeleke, during the 2024 Iwo Day Celebration, assured residents that the contractor handling the road project would return to the site in January 2025.

The project, initially flagged off in October 2022 under former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, was originally slated for completion in 2024.
