A gubernatorial aspirant under the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji has promised to address the infrastructural deficit in the state if elected in next year’s governorship election.

Oyebamiji who is the Managing Director, National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), said he learnt about the infrastructure deficit during his consultation visit to local governments across the state.

The former Commissioner for Finance in the administrations of ex-governors Rauf Aregbesola and Adegboyega Oyetola, stated this while addressing journalists in Osogbo on Monday.

Oyebamiji noted that members of the APC in the state were prepared to take over from the Peoples Democratic Party-led government, adding that the party is poised to win the August 08, 2026, election.

Oyebamiji said, “I’ve visited about twenty-one local governments for consultation, and I discovered that there are a lot of infrastructural deficits in Osun State.

“I want to let my people in Osun know that I’m going to address this when I’m elected as the Governor in 2026. The reception everywhere I’ve visited has been overwhelming and I am not taking this show of trust for granted.

“I’m encouraged by the preparation of our people. They are prepared to take the government from the PDP come 2026. Our party members are working very hard to ensure victory at the poll.”

Oyebamiji added that aspirants under the party are united and will work for the success of anyone who eventually emerges as the candidate of the party in Osun.

“By the time our leaders decide on who will fly the flag of the party, we, the aspirants, have agreed that we will join hands together to support whoever emerges.”
