If you’re resenting Monday morning because you don’t actually enjoy going to work, then it’s probably a good sign that you should be looking for a new job. Work takes up A LOT of our lives, and it should be something that you enjoy doing, rather than doing to pay the bills. Enjoying work makes Monday mornings a lot easier, because you’ll be happy to go in. Whether it’s the workload that you enjoy, or your colleagues that you enjoy spending time with. Having fun and enjoying your job is the start to tackling the weekend blues.
Get as much as you can done on Friday…
Friday is probably a day that you enjoy most at work, because you feel as though you can slack a little more because the weekend is basically here. Well, what about using your Friday to your advantage and getting as much work as you can completed. Using your Friday wisely is important, because the more work that you get completed, the less you may have to worry about on Monday morning. If you’re leaving work hang over into the next week, then it means you’re going to feel more stress on the Monday. Get as much work as you can completed on the Friday, and you won’t be suffering for it on the Monday, as you’ll have less to think about.

Plan ahead…
Use your Friday to plan your Monday. Monday’s often feel tense and horrible if you haven’t planned it, and you’ll feel overwhelmed with the amount of work that you have to do, when you’re thinking about it on your commute to work. If you take 10 minutes on your Friday afternoon to plan your Monday, then you will definitely not feel as much stress on the Monday morning. You’ll have your to-do list prepared, and you won’t feel overwhelmed with work, as you would have planned ahead for it.

Make the most of your weekend…
If you feel as though the weekends are going too fast, you might not be making the most of them. Having plans for the weekend, and making sure you’re doing what you enjoy will mean that you don’t feel as sad to go back to work on Monday. Having a good weekend and making the most of it will allow you to feel as though you’ve had the time off that you deserve, and will leave you looking forwards to the next one and make your week go quicker. Having plans for the weekend especially works if you feel as though the weeks are always dragging.
