The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Dr Ajibola Basiru, has mourned the passing of the former Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Osun State, Mr Bisi Odewumi.
Dr. Basiru described the death of the APC chieftain as a personal loss to him. Odewumi passed away yesterday at the University College Hospital, Ibadan during an illness.
The APC National Secretary who noted that Odewumi’s death was devastating, added that the deceased was a trusted and loyal political ally who believed in the Alubarika Movement project.
“He was a big brother who would relate with me very well, the age gap notwithstanding. Honourable was a man of few words, but full of wisdom and native intelligence. His politics were centrifugal and altruistic.
“I have lost an advisor, a reliable companion, a core Progressive. I’m dejected, but at the same time glory in the fact that he led a meaningful, impactful life.”
Dr. Basiru prayed to God to repose his soul and grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
