Osun FRSC receives support from indigenous firms

The Osun State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has deepened its partnership with the private sector as it took delivery of branded raincoats and reflective jackets from two local firms, Sam-Ace Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Ltd. and Abebi Foods Ltd.

At a symbolic presentation ceremony held at the FRSC Public Enlightenment Hall in Osogbo, the Command received 100 branded raincoats and 100 reflective jackets from Sam-Ace Pharmaceuticals, in addition to 25 reflective jackets from Abebi Foods, aimed at boosting the safety and operational readiness of officers.

This donation comes as part of ongoing efforts to implement the FRSC’s 2025 Corporate Strategic Goals, which seek to fund a percentage of its safety initiatives through partnerships with socially responsible businesses.

Sector Commander, CC Leye Adegboyega, commended the gesture, stating that the support reflects growing trust and recognition of the Corps’ role in ensuring safety on Nigerian roads.

“This is not just a donation; it’s a vote of confidence in the work we do. It underscores the importance of partnership in achieving safer highways,” he noted.

Adegboyega stressed that road safety is a collective responsibility, adding that the raincoats and jackets would greatly enhance officers’ visibility and protection during field duties, especially under unfavourable weather conditions.

In their remarks, the donors reiterated their commitment to supporting institutions that contribute to public good. Dr. Sam O. Olawoye, Managing Director of Sam-Ace Pharmaceuticals, said the FRSC’s resilience and discipline inspired the intervention, while Mrs. Adebisi Ganiyat, CEO of Abebi Foods Ltd., described the Command’s leadership as impactful and result-oriented.

The event also featured a demonstration session where selected personnel and the donors wore the donated gear, officially launching them for field use.

Attendees included top management of the FRSC in Osun, unit commanders, Special Marshals and members of the media, including representatives from NTA Osogbo.

With the gesture, the FRSC in Osun is reaffirming its commitment to inclusive stakeholder engagement and the promotion of a safer motoring environment across the state.
