APC Renewed Hope Summit Holds May 22

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially invited key stakeholders to participate in its upcoming national summit scheduled for May 22.

Under the theme “Renewed Hope Agenda: The Journey So Far,” the event will take place at the Banquet Hall within the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The summit aims to serve as a strategic platform for dialogue, reflection, and planning on the future direction of both the APC and Nigeria.

In a letter signed by APC National Secretary Ajibola Basiru, the party outlined that the gathering will convene top leaders and representatives from across the political spectrum. Expected attendees include President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbas.

The invitation also extends to governors, federal lawmakers, former officials, members of the national caucus, and members of the party’s executive committees. Additionally, all members of the APC national and zonal executive committees are invited to participate.

Stakeholders from various sectors are also expected, including ministers, heads of government ministries, agencies, and departments, as well as members of the 2023 presidential campaign council. Representatives from state assemblies—such as speakers and deputy speakers—who are APC members, will also attend.

The summit will include zonal officers, diaspora representatives, youth and women’s wings, media personnel, and social media influencers. Each geopolitical zone is mandated to send two representatives from different affiliated groups, including youth, women, media, and persons with disabilities (PWDs).

Furthermore, state organising secretaries, publicity secretaries, youth leaders, and other party officials will be present. Each state is also expected to nominate an additional seven stakeholders to contribute to the deliberations.

This summit signifies a pivotal step in shaping the APC’s future plans and consolidating efforts toward national development.
