Actress Laide Bakare unveiled as face of Osun Osogbo festival

Nollywood actress, Laide Bakare, has been unveiled as the official face of the 2025 edition of Osun Osogbo Festival.

The festival, a sacred 600-year-old cultural experience recognised by UNESCO, will return in August 2025.

This year’s edition promises a blend of Afro-modern production, glamour, symbolism, and ancestral pride.

“This isn’t just a celebration, it’s a collaboration,” Bakare declared in a campaign video released by the organisers.

“We’re opening the doors to fashion, tech, beauty, media, creators, and brands to join us in elevating Africa’s biggest spiritual festival into a global movement.”

In addition to the spiritual rites and historic procession to the Sacred Grove, Osun Osogbo Festival 2025 will feature new social programs such as cultural glow pageant, tech fusion experience, entrepreneurial fair, celebrity walk of elegance, pan-african roundtable and global stakeholder summit.

According to the organisers, the additions reflect the festival’s growing ambition, not just as a spiritual pilgrimage but as a pan-African platform for commerce, youth engagement, diplomacy, and global brand integration.

“On behalf of His Royal Majesty, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun Oyetunji Larooye II, the Ataoja of Osogbo and custodian of the festival, we invite brands, investors, influencers, cultural leaders, and content creators to join us in making Osun Osogbo Festival 2025 the most remarkable edition yet,” the organisers said.
