“As you attain an exciting milestone in life today, I celebrate the Grace of God upon your life and His enduring graciousness.
“Orphaned at nine but privileged to be No.1 Citizen of two States in your fatherland through ‘solid personal achievements,’ your grass-to-grace story remains a huge encouragement and a robust inspiration for the army of Osun and Nigerian youths who are looking for direction and guidance to the top in a sorely challenged nation.
“As age is synonymous with wisdom, we believe that the State of Osun and the nation will continue to benefit from the latest addition to our League of Septuagenarians”.
On his part, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye has described the former Governor as an excellent administrator who served the state meritoriously and left an indelible mark in the annals of Osun history.
Owoeye in a personally signed message said “As the then Minority Leader while you held sway as Governor, I am in lieu of your genuine commitment towards the development of our State and Nation and your continued contribution to the future of our society”
“Oyin ni o means many things to many people but there are certain things that everyone agrees about you; a top administrator per excellence, a forward looking and fearless leader and a promoter of the Yoruba culture and heritage.
”It is not by accident but dint of hard work that your life is packed with achievements and involvements as a Soldier, Military Administrator and Former Governor of our dear State.”
“As you begin a new phase of your life, I pray for renewed strength, protection, favour, mercy and grace.”
