The Senator representing Osun east senatorial district, Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi has said the return of Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola has signalled the eclipse of the ruling party in Osun and the nation
“Oyinlola’s exit affected our party in Osun and by extension the nation, that faithful day when he raised the broom killed all the hope for change by Osun people.”
This is contained in Fadahunsi’s statement on the return of the former governor signed by his Special Adviser, Media, Sam Segun-Progress, and made available to osun.life in Osogbo on Wednesday.
The lawmaker said the homecoming of Oyinlola and his supporters will give the needed energy and add to the leadership strength the party needs to return to winning ways.
He urged the former governor to use his influence in the state to attract people across the state to the party, and to assist in bringing the needed cohesion.
The former customs boss also said there are communities whose only government presence remains the ones embarked on during Oyinlola’s administration.
“The former governor’s legacies remained the only government presence in a lot of communities till date, those communities will have to reciprocate by supporting our party through which they benefited the tangible democrat dividends.”
Fadahunsi also welcome other politicians who returned to the party and urged them to integrate and feel at home, noting that “no one is a stranger in his father’s home”
The senator also called on all those with grievances to forgive themselves and be willing to sacrifice so as to work as a team in future elections.
