The reverse order was given by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye, during today’s plenary session which held inside the chambers of the House of Assembly.

The Speaker had earlier announced a petition he received from the local council parliamentarians detailing the impeaching of Hon. Olaoye.

In his remarks, Owoeye said “I want to call on all local council legislators to stay away from the issue of impeachment. Section II of the State of Osun Local Government Areas (Creation and Administration) Law, 2015 and Rule 39 of the standing orders and rules of the Local Government Council is unequivocally clear on how to remove the Chairman and principals of a LGA.”

“Hon. Abdulhakeem Olaoye remains the Chairman of Osogbo South LCDA, the issue of a new acting Chairman does not arise.” He concluded
