The proposed bill that will grant autonomy to the College of Health Technology, Ilesha, has today passed second reading at the Osun State House of Assembly.
In a sitting led by the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye, the bill which enjoys majority support from members was read for the second time.
In his remarks on the advantage of passing the bill, the Speaker explained that passage of this bill will grant the students of the school the opportunity to partake in the mandatory one year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.
He further stated that the eventual passing of the bill will afford the Institution the opportunity to be funded by TETFUND.
