Osun PDP expels five members over anti-party activities

The State Executive Committee of Peoples Democratic Party in Osun has expelled not less than five members of the party over proven allegations of gross anti-party activities and insubordination following the alleged inability of the affected members to honour the party Constitution and allow internal conflict resolution mechanisms to prevail.

This was contained in a special release signed by the party’s state secretary, Mr. Bola Ajao, a copy which was made available to osun.life today in Osogbo, the State capital.

The affected members as contained in the release are, Awosiyan Olalekan Kingsley; Ojetade Thomas; Awodire Sina Peter ; Olatunji Rasheed Olabayo and Oluwasegun Idowu.

The release titled “acceptance and adoption of chapter recommendations on erring and recalcitrant members”, read thus;

“Following repeated entreaties, appeals and plea to the affected members that the party objective and aspirations is not meant to be subverted nor undermined and their recalcitrance not to follow the path of order” :

” And following constitutional prescriptions and as recommended by the appropriate ward, LG and Senatorial chapter of the party”

“The Osun State PDP Executive Committee hereby formally ADOPT the recommendation that the following affected members be EXPELLED from the party for their insubordination and gross anti-party activities.
They are :

  1. Awosiyan Olalekan Kingsley
  2. Ojetade Thomas
  3. Awodire Sina Peter
  4. Olatunji Rasheed Olabayo
  5. Oluwasegun Idowu

“Party constitution is meant to be obeyed as internal mechanisms for conflict resolution is a constitutional requirement.
We enjoin faithful party members to adhere strictly to the dictates of our party constitution”.
