A Former Minister of Youth Development, Senator Akinlabi Olasunkanmi, has urged Muslim faithfuls to be full of prayers for the fast recovery of the country from the ailing economy.
He said this in his sallah message made available to our correspondent on Monday.
He said prayers of our compatriots at this critical period is important and could bring Nigeria out the mess she is currently in, saying Muslims should seize the opportunity of Eid Kabir to that effect.
His message read in part, ” there is no more masking the fact that Nigeria is in economic difficulties most especially, with the final confirmation of the government that Nigeria indeed, is in recession. With poverty slugging it out with us and ravaging all parts of the country, I want to seize this opportunity to appeal to our Muslim brothers and sisters to be prayerful. There is no other shortcut to solving this except through your prayers that Allah will touch the heart of our leaders to lead us aright”.
” On a brighter note, I see a beautiful and a prosperous Nigeria envied by other countries because of her development, progress and prosperity. I see a beautiful Nigeria that her citizens knows no war, pestilence, famine and impunity. I see a beautiful Nigeria that offers her citizens equal opportunities no matter your place of birth, religion or tribe”.
Of course this is Nigeria of our dream and we shall get there Insha Allah.
Once again Barka de Sallah to all our Muslim brothers and sisters all over Nigeria and in diaspora.
