A House of Representatives aspirant for Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency, Mr Pelumi Olajengbesi, has called out the incumbent lawmaker representing the constituency, Hon. Wole Oke, over his comments about Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Olajengbesi in a statement posted on his Facebook page, alleged that Oke has chosen to lie against Adeleke in order to secure the ticket of the All Progressives Congress to contest the seat for the 7th time.
He accused the lawmaker of trying to impress some people within the APC to get the ticket, adding that “the desperation of the ambition is gradually stripping him of his honour.”
He said, “When I was in secondary school in 2003, Wole Oke had already been in the House of Representatives, with honour and grace, now about 24 years, the only thing that has happened is his uncontrollable appetite for power. Again, Wole Oke is contesting for the 7th time.
“Wole Oke has now reduced himself to posting lies about the government of Governor Adeleke, lies that even himself cannot defend.
“Every day he is on Facebook seeking relevance, if he is not posting Oyetola’s wife, he is posting his son. Wole Oke is holding Oyetola like a god just for him to have his ticket back to the House of Representatives and relegate others after 24years.
“Wole Oke claimed he has been working? Where exactly has Wole Oke been working? Which ward has he visited since the beginning of this campaign? Mobilisation is not done on Facebook or by sending a tin of rice. It is done on the streets, in the wards, among the people. That is where we have been every single day.”
