The Member representing Ayedire/Iwo/Ola-Oluwa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Mudashiru Lukman, on Sunday, flagged off the construction of a one-kilometre Oloye–Gbegunde–Motokese road in Iwo Local Government Area.
According to a statement signed by his media unit, the lawmaker while speaking at the ceremony, reaffirmed his commitment to delivering impactful projects across the constituency.
He emphasised that development efforts would not be derailed by distractions.
“We have the intention to do greater things for our people, and we are not going to be distracted by the things around us. This road project will go round the entire constituency, but we have to start from somewhere.
“It will be like our solar lights projects, scholarship schemes, and empowerment training, which eventually touched everywhere in our constituency,” he said.
The road, which connects eight compounds and neighbouring communities, according to the statement, is expected to boost economic activities and improve accessibility upon completion.
