Downpour: Iwo residents alert IBEDC to fallen electric pole

Residents of Iwo have called the attention of the management of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company to an electric pole which fell following a heavy rain in the town on Sunday afternoon.

The electric pole which fell at Adeeke Junction, Iwo, according to the residents posed a danger if not urgently attended to.

According to a Facebook post by ATM Media TV, the incident occurred around 3:50 p.m., with fear that the development would lead to casualties if IBEDC restore light in the area without attending to the fallen pole first.

“This is to inform Iwo IBEDC about the current electric pole situation at Adeeke Idowu Junction. This happened due to rain this afternoon by 3:50pm, we use this medium to let them be aware before light is restored to the affected location,” the post read.
