Afenifere faction meets in Osun, vows to legally change government

A faction of the Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, has said the country under President Bola Tinubu is not working.

The group said it would do whatever it takes legally to ensure a change in government in the country.

The National Leader of the group, Oba Olaitan Oladipo, stated this on Tuesday while speaking to journalists during its monthly meeting held in Ilesa, Osun State.

Oba Oladipo, who expressed displeasure with how the affairs of the country were being managed, said the group was ready to lead efforts that would change the trajectory of Nigeria.

The Afenifere leader noted that poor governance has made life unbearable for many Nigerians.

“This is our general meeting. We are going to change the trajectory of this country. What is happening now, we don’t accept it.

“Nigeria must be governed properly. The way it is governed now, we don’t like it and we will do everything we can legitimately and legally to change it and this is the beginning,” Oladipo said.
