Osun govt appoints Prince Tajudeen Olanrewaju as Akire of Ikire

The Osun state government has approved the appointment of Prince Tajudeen Olanrewaju as the new Akire of Ikire.

The decision was made at the State Executive Council meeting held on Friday at Osogbo.

Olanrewaju’s appointment followed the demise of Oba Olatunde Falabi, Lambeloye III on 27th February, 2026.

The meeting which was presided over by Governor Ademola Adeleke, deliberated on the detailed memo submitted by the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and approved the recommendations in line with extant laws and terms of settlement agreed to by the five Ruling Houses.
