Teachers Recruitment: Osun govt releases first batch supplementary list

The Osun State Government has released the supplementary list to Batch 1 of the ongoing teachers’ recruitment exercise in the state.

This was contained in a statement signed by the
Permanent Secretary
Ministry of Education, Mr Muritala Jimoh on Sunday.

According to Jimoh, the total number of applicants being employed now stands at 1,241.

“This is to inform the general public and education stakeholders in Osun State that His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, has graciously approved the release of the supplementary list to Batch 1 of the ongoing teachers’ recruitment exercise in the State.

“This development now brings the total number of applicants being employed to a total of 1241 as against the initial 1000 mark to give room for more qualified unemployed youths to be absorbed into the teaching profession thereby improving learning outcomes in our primary and secondary schools across the state,” the statement noted.

The Permanent Secretary added, “The breakdown of this figure now stands at 660 for SUBEB, 526 for TESCOM and 55 for Education Officers.”

Jimoh advised successful candidates to check their names on the lists accordingly and proceed to commence necessary profiling and documentation.

“While congratulating all the successful candidates, it is expected that they contribute their quota towards the improvement of the education sector in their new engagement as teachers. They should also display professionalism in teaching for better performance and outcomes,” the statement concluded.
