10 Osun public school students advance as AENON Science quiz competition commences

The first stage of Engr. Ademola Adedapo AENON Science Quiz Competition was held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, where the 10 best students advanced to the next stage.

The competition which is for public secondary school students in Osun West Senatorial District was held at five different locations in the 10 local government areas in the district.

The programme was held simultaneously at Osogbo Grammar School, Osogbo; Ede Muslim High School, Ede; Ayedaade Grammar School; Baptist High School Ejigbo and Iwo Grammar School, Iwo at 10: a.m.

Students during the competition were tested in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English.

Following the conclusion of the first stage, the 10 best students would move to the second stage where they will compete with five students emerging for the final stage.

The students are – Peace Oyelami (Baptist High School, Ejigbo); Aishat Ademola (Baptist High School, Ejigbo); Ayodele Ige (Ataoja School of Science, Osogbo); Jubril Alaje (Agbonron School of Science, Ede); Maryam Oladebo (Ayeedade Grammar School, Ikire).

Others are – Barakat Tiamiyu (Agbonron School of Science, Ede); Isaac Adeagbo (Fakunle Comprehensive High School, Osogbo); Ruth Oladimeji (Ataoja School of Science, Osogbo); Jeremiah Asakoko (Fatima College, Ikire) and Hameeda Zakariya (Iwo Grammar School, Iwo).

The organisers of the event said the date, time and venue for the next stage of the competition would be communicated in due course.
