Osun PDP Odo-Otin LG Vice Chairman, Others dump party, join APC

The Vice Chairman of Odo-Otin local government elected under the Peoples Democratic Party in the February 22, 2025 election, Mr Sikiru Adeboye, alongside other members of the PDP on Thursday, dumped the party for the All Progressives Congress.

Adeboye and the other decampees were received by the leadership of the APC led by the state chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal at an event held at the Okuku Town Hall.

According to a statement posted by the APC chairman on his Facebook page, the reception was organised by Mr Eniade Damilare.

Lawal noted that the development further strengthens the APC and reflects the growing confidence of the people in the progressive movement.

“I warmly welcome our new members and assure them of their full integration into our great party.

“I also emphasised the need for our party to return to power in the forthcoming gubernatorial election and for the people of Osun State to elect Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji as the next Governor of Osun State,” he wrote.
