The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State took another turn over the weekend as a faction of the party opened its secretariat at the Ogo Oluwa Area of Osogbo, the state capital.
osun.life reports that the Taminu-Turaki-led faction of the PDP recently announced the dissolution of the Sunday Bisi-led leadership and replaced it with a caretaker committee.
The PDP named Hon. Tunde Tijani, as the caretaker Chairman, while Hon. Bamidele Seyi-Abiola was named Secretary.
Other members of the committee include, Lateef Mumini Obide, Alhaji Sarafa Gbadamosi, Adewoyin Babatunde, Ajileye Wasiu Aderemi, and Oluresi Michael Adebanji.
However, the State Working Committee of the PDP, led by Bisi, rejected its dissolution, saying the executives remain the ones recognised by the constitution of the party.
The faction headed by Mr Bisi also endorsed Governor Ademola Adeleke for second term and slammed former governor of the state, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola for associating with the Taminu-Turaki-led faction.
