Osogbo Tennis Club, a foremost sports club in Osun State, on Friday, elected Mr Yinka Olorundare, as its new President.
Olorundare, a Branch Manager with First City Monument Bank (FCMB), was elected in a keenly contested election held within the club’s premises.
The seasoned banker who is popularly known as Bob, polled 55 votes to defeat the incumbent President, Abiola Oni who polled 40 votes and will lead the new set of executives to pilot the affairs of the club for the next two years.
Speaking shortly after being declared the winner, Olorundare beseeched members for their support, cooperation, and constructive engagement.
He also promised to deliver on the collective mandate, strengthen unity and enhance the club’s facilities and programs.
Other elected members include Rabi Ladipo (Vice President), Olayinka Ishola (General Secretary), and Kayode Dagiloke (Captain).
Others are Abiodun Owoeye (Internal Auditor), Joseph Akanbi (Social/Welfare Secretary), Bukola Ogundipe (Financial Secretary), Adekunle Uthman (Vice Captain), and Femi Bibilari (Assistant Secretary).
