Osun federal lawmaker empowers farmers with solar water pump

The lawmaker representing Odo-Otin/Ifelodun/Boripe federal constituency, Hon Olusoji Adetunji, has empowered farmers in the constituency with solar engine pumps.

The lawmaker in a post on his official Facebook page, said the move was part of his continued grassroots empowerment drive.

According to him, the intervention, which was executed by the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) of the Federal Government of Nigeria took place in Ikirun, headquarters of Ifelodun Local Government.

Hon. Adetunji said solar-powered water pumping systems designed to support irrigation, enhance domestic water supply, and provide reliable water sources for livestock and other agricultural purposes were distributed to over 50 beneficiaries.

He added that, “Beneficiaries were carefully selected from the three local government areas within the constituency.”

The lawmaker noted that the initiative forms part of his broader commitment to strengthening agricultural productivity and improving livelihoods through sustainable solutions.
