The lawmaker representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo Federal Constituency, Bamidele Salam, has announced plan to give free 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) forms to 700 prospective UTME candidates across the constituency.

The lawmaker made the announcement in a statement issued on Friday and signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Education and Civil Society Matters, Umar Salman.

The intervention, according to the statement, was part of Rep. Salam’s long-standing commitment to expanding access to education and easing the financial burden on parents and guardians, particularly in the face of prevailing economic challenges.

It stated that beneficiaries would be selected across the four local government areas of the constituency, with a transparent and inclusive process to ensure fairness and equity.

The statement noted that the application would close on Friday, 13th February, 2026 with interested students and admission seekers advised to apply via: https://forms.gle/z82avnxPqDRpawPZ9

It added that only shortlisted applicants who meet the selection criteria on the application form would be contacted via text message (SMS) by the Education Committee with further instructions.
