Some indigenes of Ekiti living in Osun State under the aegis of ‘The Itesiwaju Group,’ have backed the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Bola Oyebamiji ahead of the August 08 election.
The group endorsed the APC flagbearer on Wednesday, 4th February during a solidarity visit to the Osogbo residence of the Chairman of AMBO Movement, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye.
The Coordinator of the group, Alonge Clement, while speaking during the meeting, promised that Ekiti people in Osun will aggressively mobilise support at the grassroots for Oyebamiji’s electoral victory come August 8, 2026.
According to him: “We see the quality of good governance and representation in the APC. President Bola Tinubu’s phenomenal leadership and the sterling antecedents of the Osun APC governorship candidate have propelled us to throw our weight behind Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji.”
Reacting on behalf of the governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Owoeye appreciated the group for the endorsement and assured all non-indigenes of Osun that Oyebamiji, when elected would protect their interest.
“Oyebamiji is ready, capable and willing to ensure even development of the state and a conducive economic climate for all and sundry. Both indigenes and visitors alike will benefit tremendously from his administration,” Owoeye noted.
While lauding the peaceful attitude, efforts and contributions of the Ekiti community and other non-indigenes to the growth of Osun, Owoeye urged the electorate to come out en masse and vote for the APC governorship candidate on the 8th of August.
The Chairman of AMBO Movement further harped on the need for eligible persons to take advantage of the second phase of the voter registration exercise in a bid to be able to participate in the forthcoming poll.
