Osun: 200 students benefit from NIMASA Director’s free UTME initiative

Not less than 200 secondary school students from Boripe Local Government Area of Osun State have benefited from the free Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) support by the Executive Director of Operations, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Engr Fatai Adeyemi.

The programme, in partnership with the IleriOluwa Education Development, was held on Tuesday in Iragbiji, headquarters of the local government.

Speaking at the event, the programme coordinator, Mr Remiade Olorede, said the initiative was to support the education of the beneficiaries.

“Our goal is to remove financial barriers and enable students to focus on their studies,” Olorede said.

The chairman of the council, Mr Odebunmi Sikiru, lauded Engr. Adeyemi for his commitment to education, urging other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the NIMASA director.
