The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Ajibola Basiru, on Saturday joined the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, and other APC leaders to officially receive Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas to the APC.
It would be recalled that in December 2025, it was announced that Kefas would formally join the party in January 2026.
The governor had earlier postponed his planned defection from 19 November, citing the kidnapping of students in Kebbi State as the reason for the delay.
In a post on his Facebook page, Basiru wrote, “I joined the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, and other APC leaders and thousands of our party faithfuls to officially receive Governor Kefas of Taraba State to the APC in Jalingo this afternoon.”
