2026: Be united, use Iwo votes to neutralise Ede – APC chieftain urges members

By Tunde Olamilekan

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Engr Ademola Adedapo has urged members of the party in Iwo land to stand united and work for the victory of the party in the August 08, gubernatorial election.

Adedapo in a video obtained by osun.life spoke while addressing the members during a stakeholders meeting held last week in Iwo.

The APC chieftain explained the significance of the votes from Iwo land in the forthcoming election, noting that the votes from the region would be used to neutralise the votes from Ede where the incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke hails from.

He said, “In Ede North and Ede South, they consistently vote in massive numbers. It is the votes of Iwo that we use to neutralise Ede votes. It is therefore crucial for us to work diligently and ensure that we vote massively for the APC candidate in Iwo.”

Engr Adedapo also appealed to those who were still nursing grudges over the emergence of Mr Bola Oyebamiji as the candidate of the party to forget the past and focus on winning the election for the party. He said “Our leaders have appealed to us and I want us to forget that and forge forward and ensure victory for the APC in the forthcoming election,” he added.

Speaking further, the APC chieftain appealed to the members to ensure they register in the ongoing membership e-registration of the APC.

Adedapo said, “I also want to appeal to all of us to go and register as members of the APC. Without our National Identification Number, we cannot be registered. So, we should have our NIN first and register as a party member.”
