The lawmaker representing Ife East in the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Olumide Saheed Fatunmise, has empowered constituents with motorcycles, freezers, sewing machines and many other equipment.
The mega empowerment program, themed “Etò Ìróni Lágbarà,” was held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, in Ile-Ife.
The initiative, according to the lawmaker who is also the Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, was designed to directly uplift artisans, small business owners, youths, women, students, and vulnerable members of the community.
Beneficiaries of the programme, received a wide range of empowerment items including motorcycles, deep freezers, sewing machines, grinding machines, vulcaniser machines, dryers, laptops, iPads, generator sets, clippers and accessories, as well as cash grants for small-scale businesses and market women.
The programme also features bursary support for students and food items with cash assistance for widows.
