President Bola Tinubu has sworn in the Chairman and Commissioners of the Federal Character Commission.
The new FCC Chairman, Hulayat Omidiran, took the oath of office alongside 37 commissioners representing the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory at an event held at the State House, Abuja on Thursday.
Omidiran who is a former two-term member of the House of Representatives represented Ayedaade/Irewole/Isokan Federal Constituency of Osun State from 2011 to 2019.
The Ikire-born politician was appointed on August 11, 2025, after Tinubu initially announced the reappointment of Dr Muheeba Dankaka for a second term earlier the same day.
