Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State, on Tuesday, matriculated 1,644 students, consisting of 286 postgraduate students and 1,358 fresh students, for the 2025/2026 academic session.
Speaking during the event held at the auditorium of the university, the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Shadrach Akindele, charged the students to be remarkable in character, learning, discipline, faith, values and impact.
The VC noted that the university’s aim is to produce academically sound graduates and morally upright leaders.
He said, “We expect you to be remarkable in character, learning, discipline, faith, values and impact. The Redeemer’s University exists to produce academically sound graduates, morally upright leaders, and spiritually grounded global citizens.
“Here, we do not only ask, what do you know? We also ask, Who are you becoming? You have come to a Christian university, where church attendance is compulsory.
“We believe that in the course of your study here, you will encounter God in a way that will align your lives with his divine will and purpose. Therefore, congratulations.
“Today marks a very significant milestone in the life of our institution, and even more profoundly, in the lives of the 1,644 students who have been formally admitted into the university academic community.”
