The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Southwest Zone D has endorsed the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the August 08 election in Osun State, Mr Bola Oyebamiji.
The NANS Southwest Zone D Coordinator, Comrade Taiwo Owolewa, who spoke on behalf of the students, at a press conference on Monday at the NUJ Press Centre, Osogbo, said the former Commissioner for Finance has demonstrated capacity, accessibility, and commitment to inclusive leadership.
Owolewa said Oyebamiji would run an inclusive government where every part of the state would benefit across the board.
He said: “Oyebamiji’s impeccable antecedents and outstanding records of excellence and success in public service and his continuous relationship with students and young people across Osun State and the Southwest clearly reflect a leader who understands governance from the people’s perspective.
“We also believe his vision about running an inclusive government where every part of Osun State will benefit across the board, rather than a parochial lopsided dissipation of Osun State resources in one corner, while largely neglecting the rest of the State.
The student body while passing a vote of confidence on Oyebamiji, urged Osun electorates to vote for the APC candidate in the August 08 election.
“On this basis, the leadership of NANS Southwest (Zone D) hereby passes a vote of confidence on Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji and expresses strong belief in his vision for Osun State,” Owolewa added.
